Master Planner Advanced StudiesSM (MPASSM): The MPASSM credential is issued by the College for Financial Planning. MPASSMdesignees have earned a Master of Science degree with a major in either personal financial planning or financial analysis from the College for Financial Planning. The curriculum, which takes nearly three years to complete, provides students with a thorough and advanced education focusing on all aspects of personal financial planning, including investments, insurance, taxation, retirement planning, and estate planning. Graduates of the program have demonstrated critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills that are attributed to the program’s deep and rigorous exploration of the material. This is what distinguishes MPASSM designees from other professionals in the industry. Authorization for continued use of the MPASSM credential must be renewed every two (2) years by completing 40 hours of continuing education, reaffirming compliance with the College’s Standards of Professional Conduct, Terms and Conditions, and complying with self-disclosure requirements.
